Progressive Farmer Podcast Wins Top Honor in 2023 Neal Awards
Agriculture News Site Recognized for Journalism Excellence in Five Additional Categories
Progressive Farmer, an agricultural magazine published by DTN, recently took the top honor for Best Podcast in the 2023 Jesse H. Neal Awards. Created in 2020, “Field Posts” is a weekly podcast that discusses important issues that impact the agricultural community.
“We launched ‘Field Posts’ to extend our multimedia reporting and give more time to discuss important agriculture topics in depth,” said Gregg Hillyer, DTN/Progressive Farmer editor in chief. “Being recognized as the top podcast among a list of prestigious business media validates our efforts and commitment to keep our readers and listeners informed on what matters most to them.”
DTN/Progressive Farmer was also named a finalist in five other categories: Best Single Article for “China Investment Controversy;” Best Subject Related Package for “Climate Smart Farming;” Best Profile Article for “Focused on Tomorrow;” Best Art Director for Cover for “Label Wars;” and Best Website.
Often referred to as the “Pulitzer Prize of business-to-business publications,” the Jesse H. Neal Awards recognize excellence in B2B journalism. The awards, now in their 69th year, are owned by the Software & Information Industry Association.
“It is a rigorous judging process before being named a finalist,” noted Hillyer. “We applaud the efforts of our talented content team members who proved once again they are among the best in their profession in providing thoughtful, relevant, and insightful information to our agriculture customers all year round.”
